One of the things I truly enjoy about writing 'round about the church is the opportunity I have to review so many excellent resources. While all the resources I review will benefit those who decide to utilize them, occasionally resources come along that are so tremendous I believe every youth ministry would benefit in significant ways by utilizing that resource. H.A.B.I.T.S. Production Pack By Doug Fields and Making Young Lives Count is one such resource. This tool is one that is such an incredibly effective tool, it is sure to impact teens in real and measurable ways as this "strategy" for genuinely discipling teens is utilized.

"I am very impressed with the simplicity and thoroughness of the H.A.B.I.T.S. Production Pack. The Habits highlighted are right on target and the materials offered are well put together with thought clearly given to the ease of implementation in a youth group. I really like the set up and plan behind H.A.B.I.T.S. If you are going to challenge your teens to do something, you need to give them the resources to succeed. This resource allows you to do so. These are quality materials I would completely recommend for other Youth Pastors to utilize in their ministries with their teens for real changed lives."This resource is designed to not just be another "program" to occupy teen's time, but rather is focused to encourage a genuine development of a real relationship between a teen and God - it is tremendous! I would like to encourage all youth ministries - no matter what your budget - to purchase and put into use as soon as possible this tremendously powerful tool to genuinely disciple teens. Training volunteers is an area we all agree we need to focus our time on, but getting the volunteers to training is a significant challenge. I really like this resource as it puts key information in the hands of the volunteers to equip them to be effective in ministering to teens. The reproducible tapes and study guides are a brilliant way to provide real training for volunteers - they could be followed up on at a volunteer brunch or dinner where time was allowed for groups to talk through what they are learning and they build team relationships as well. Every youth ministry would benefit in significant and measurable ways by utilizing these tapes with their volunteers! Extremely well done Doug and Making Young Lives Count!
