Many businesses have an "Employee of the Month" and take that opportunity to thank their employees by highlighting and noticing them and their work. This is something we should do in our churches as well! I believe it is both good and right to thank those who give of themselves and their time to serve in our church . . . and there are many ways to do this!
Small things like having a teacher of the month provide an opportunity to show your teachers, church and even your community that you truly treasure your teachers!place a "thank-you" card on the door of the room where the teacher of the month teaches and encourage students and parents to stop by and sign the card before presenting it to the teacher designate a special "Teacher of the Month Parking Space" surprise the teacher of the month with coffee or juice and a donut or fruit - maybe bring enough for the class to celebrate along with their teacher recruit parents to be extra help one Sunday each week of the teacher's special month present the teacher of the month a gift certificate to a Christian Store, a restaurant or give them a nice book (see reviews below) have a special teacher of the month bulletin board and each month up-date it with a picture of the teacher, a brief bio, pictures of their class and testimonies from students as to why they appreciate their teacher
