resources for effective children's ministry

In this section we provide ideas on ways to support and encourage your teachers. If you have ideas that you have utilized with your teachers we would love to hear them! Please e-mail them to me at Teacher Support & Encouragement Ideas at lynda.freeman@usa.net Thank you!
One of the inevitibilities of life is that sooner or later difficult times come to all of us . . . and that includes our teachers, so I am going to recommend a few ideas on ways to support and encourage your volunteers through difficult times.
- First and most important, PRAY for them.
- Secondly, be available to LISTEN.
- If the situation warrants, arrange for people to bring in meals.
- If the situation warrants, arrange for people to help with
housecleaning.
- If the situation warrants, arrange for people to help with child
care.
- Purchase and give to them one - or both of the following books.
Walking With the Savior
Author - Max Lucado
Publisher - Tyndale
$13.99
This book combines Scripture, exerpts from some of Max's books and beautiful illustrations that will encourage the heart and bring joy to the soul! If one of your teachers is going through a difficult time, this book will be a source of help and encouragement! I highly recommend this book! Very well done Max and Tyndale!
In the Arm's of God
Author - Dr. James Dobson
Publisher - Tyndale
$14.99
This book is a combination of Scripture verses, excerpts from "When God Doesn't Make Sense" and truly awesome photos and is an excellent resource to have on hand to give to a teacher who is hurting to help remind them that God is still there! My favorite page in this book shows a truly beautiful snow capped mountain reflected in a still, crystal clear lake and says, "Know the LORD is in control and refuse to be shaken in your faith. 'For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7' " I highly recommend this book! Very well done James and Tyndale!
