resources for effective children's ministry
It is so important that we as teachers (an parents, too) consistently and regularly feed ourselves by spending time on a daily basis in God's Word and in prayer. However, far too often we get busy with our lives and do not take time for what is truly important. If you find this true for you, you will find the following reviews are excellent resources for you to utilize and to recommend for others!

More Precious Than Silver
Author - Joni Eareckson Tada Publisher - Zondervan Publishing |
In this excellent resource, Joni provides both daily encouragement and daily challenge to the reader to allow the "silver of God's Word" to purify their life.favorite features:
366 daily devotional readings each daily reading begins with a Scripture passage each daily reading includes a meditation to encourage the reader each daily reading includes an application to challenge the reader each daily reading ends with a prayer 12 line drawings by Joni throughout the book
Joni encourages us to develop "the rigorous yet simple discipline of spending a little formal time with God and His Word every day. And nothing kick-starts a daily quiet time better than a devotional book that reads easily and runs deep". Joni's book does both and is an excellent resource to help us grow closer to God. It is so very important that we spend time on a daily basis with God if we are going to be effective in our ministry to kids and youth and in our role as parents. I highly recommend this book as a resource that will make a significant difference in your life. Extremely well done Joni and Zondervan Publishing!
