    What God Says About Me
    Author - Neil T. Anderson
    Publisher - Gospel Light Publishing
    $  N/A

For years Neil has provided excellent resources for adults and teens to help them learn who they really are in Christ.  I have wished he would put together resources for elementary age kids that would teach the same things.  Now this resource is designed especially for pre-teens to help them learn who they are in Christ and how to live a life of freedom in Christ.

    Favorite Features

  • reproducible
  • 13 complete lessons
  • three units - I am accepted in Jesus;  I am safe in Jesus;  I am important in Jesus
  • Each lesson includes a Life Focus, Lesson Aim, Scripture, Key Verse & Teacher's devotional
  • Some active learning options to help kids apply
  • final focus each lesson involves kids in making a notebook of what they are learning and a prayer to add each week
  • discussion questions
  • "Who I am in Christ" handout
  • how to lead a child to Christ information

I highly recommend this as a must have study for pre-teen kids.  Many of us have struggled for years - or maybe still are - with the truth of our identity in Christ.  If we could help our children learn these truths while they are still children - they could grow up experiencing the freedom that brings!  Can you imagine how terrific that would be?!   Next to putting their trust in Christ - learning the truth of their identity in Christ is the most important thing we can teach our kids.  This resource will help you do just that.  Extremely well done Neil and Gospel Light!

    POSSIBLE WAYS TO UTILIZE:

  • a special quarter of Sunday School
  • mid-week resources
  • special summer ministry
  • week of special classes - perhaps during Spring break
