Summer can be a time where families spend their time in the outdoors, enjoying the weather - but sometimes, even in the summer, it rains . . . so, what does a family do when it rains? Why not encourage the families in your church to get in the habit of throwing an "impromptu" "family rain party"?! This is how it works - when it looks like a rainy evening, or weekend, call one or two other families from your church - try to include new families to your church as well - ask them over for an evening or afternoon of family fun. Each family brings their favorite picnic dinner - basket and all - as well as a blanket to spread on your floor and then each family can share their picnic together. After the picnic, play some games and watch a family movie. After the movie, talk about a way your family can show love ot each other and plan to spend then next rainy day with friends, again!To help you with some great family movies, we will include a few reviews of some excellent movies that all focus on the value of family!
