Tales from the
Ark
Author - Auril Rowlands
Publisher -
Lion Publishing

This
book presents the familiar story of Noah's ark from the perspective of
the animals and Noah as it looks at what it might have been like on the
ark. Each chapter tells the story from a different perspective -
Noah, the Lion, sheep, termite, skunk, donkey, son, pig, spider, monkey,
elephant, dove and the dormice all tell what it MIGHT have been like.

Features
-
each chapter is short - just the right
length for a parent to read on chapter every evening
-
line drawings by Rosslyn Moran throughout
the book are delightful and well done
-
helps children learn what it means
to work together and help each other and what can happen
-
if we want our own way
This book is nicely written
and I would recommend it for young readers to read on their own and for
families to read together. I do believe it is important for parents
to talk with their kids about how while Noah is a real Bible person and
God really did have Noah build the ark and care for the animals - the rest
of the book is pretend. Nicely done Auril, Rosslyn & Lion.
