Teacher Encouragement
In this section we provide ideas on ways to support and encourage your teachers. If you have ideas that you have utilized with your teachers we would love to hear them! Please e-mail them to me at About the Youth Department at lynda.freeman@usa.net Thank you!

    SECRET PALS

As you finalize your Fall teaching staff over the summer, take some time to also look for "Secret Pals" for each of your teachers and helpers.  Secret Pals need to be able to commit to pray for their teacher/helper pal over the coming school year and also drop them an anonymous encouragement note from time to time.  Consider decorating a bulletin board with pictures and names of each of your teachers and helpers for the coming year.  Have slips "Secret Pals" may take to select their "pal".  Over the coming year the "Secret Pals" are a very important part of your children's ministry team.  The "Secret Pals" remain a secret until the Teacher appreciation dinner where they will be revealed.

Have each "Secret Pal" turn a form in to you so you know who each pal is for each teacher and helper.  This way you are able to let the pals know of any specific requests and needs for their teacher/helper as the year goes on.  Former Teachers make excellent "Secret Pals" as they know what it means and takes to teach and serving as a "Secret Pal" is a great way to keep those who once served a part of the children's ministry!
